Certificate Scandals - Who to Blame

As much as we like to point fingers at Buhari for every dysfunction is it really his fault.

Granted Buhari has a seeming preference for his people for appointments and he seems to know few southerners on an intimate level to make personal recommendations, but why are states nominating the likes of Kemi and now Shittu for appointments, despite glaring deficiencies.

Kemi for instance was nominated by the Jagbadan and the Osibanjo group.

Who nominated the geriatric ambassador to America who took exception to reciting the National anthem at NASS.

Who allowed the dancing senator inherit his brothers seat without his WAEC and why did the party allow his name on the ballot for governor without it even if it is not a constitutional requirement, is there no one else for the sake of meritocracy.

Even for Buhari himself who entered the army without allegedly taking WAEC where are all the young men who were not accepted into NDA and federal jobs despite scoring five credits and passing NDA physicals because of quota system or because the had no godfather, everyone from every part Nigeria has been a victim.

Too many instances abound about the rot from the ground level.

Can’t people Nigerians do their job. Who cleared Kemi and shittu at the DSS & Senate level. Which imbecile who was posted to Biu or Kafanchan from PH or Las Giddy to serve allowed that travesty to cross and pass his or her desk.

Which old sodja’s all over the place, who hates bloody civilians even allowed a “disloyal” bloodier civilian who could not even do the civilian NYSC get his name on the list, through clearance again

Buhari has a million things to do and he delegated these tasks to his subordinates who he trusts to do the right thing. Once the names submitted pass the smell and tribal balancing test he duly announces the appointment.

Even George Bush had to withdraw the appointment of an appointee after some issues surfaced after appointing him, an embarrassed Bush withdrew the appointment, so it’s not a Buhari problem, but subordinates not doing their job, seems these days you will have to fire everyone for not doing their job.

On another subject, why aren’t Nigerians from they driver to they cook to they clerk and police constable not sabotaging corrupt former elected former governors campaigning to become senators. Did they forget they many months of unpaid salaries. Can’t the driver crash the car or flatten the tire, can’t the constable accidentally discharge so many times even when reconvened so the message is clear etcetera.

All these instances and despite all protests show Nigerians as a people who have not decided, enough is enough.

Stop looking at Buhari, look at yourself, you are the problem.
